Obviously, I'm not asking about modern reprintings of Bunyan's classic. Rather, just as Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL has been rewoven in countless movies and books (where Scrooge is recast as a modern day businessman, businesswoman, or even a spoiled rich child), I wondered if PILGRIM'S PROGRESS had been "modernized" by some author into a world more familiar to a modern reader, in culture as well as in updated language?
